Hi Steve,

Now, that is a dilemma, isn't it? I can only say that I'm glad that your success in consulting has driven you, in this unexpectedly beneficial way, to share your experience and judgement with the rest of us!

Jim,

Well put. In fact, there is an extension of that line of thinking that applies to the consultants/advisers of "boring" CEOs.

I realized recently that after 30 years of effective consulting, hardly anyone outside of my client groups and their associates knew that I existed. Having been involved with issues of practical execution and related management development, I'd spent time actually doing what others talk about--but my clients aren't celebrities. Just successful.

So now I'm spending time writing about what works and what doesn't--and adding my name to it.

I've decided to stick with what is "real" and rests on a firm foundation. Now we'll have to see if that is as appealing as "4 Ways to Make Change Now!"

Keep writing...
